29 February 2008 What do you do on a cold winters day in Vermont?

You go out and work on your Chris Craft in an unheated shop! Winter has been fun here on Button Bay all the tourists have been gone for several months and things have slowed down. I have been steadily been working on my 1957 Chris Craft Sea Skiff Frolic through the winter and have removed all the varnish and stain. Never thought Here is a snap shot of the inside when I was sanding. I would use this much sand paper. I am moving onto repairing stripped out screw holes and have located some mahogany dowel rods for my repairs.

Once the weather gets warm I believe I will be in a good spot to do a starboard side engine stringer repair and begin staining and varnishing the boat. I have my engine rebuilt but still getting a few parts, anyone have the copper pile and fittings that goes from the block to the exhaust manifold? I know VanNess has made new ones but i would be up for a usable user part since the boat is not for show.

Any who back to work.
